ThermoPor Insulated Render Systems
Introduction
Property Preservation Systems contractors are all approved Chroda-eco contractors, this means we are specialists in applying their fantastic Thermopor insulated render & Thermosap floor screed systems. The versatile Thermopor insulated render system can be used on both internal & external walls to great effect and with fantastic benefits.
The use of an insulated render system to increase the thermal efficiency of a solid masonry building or structure by about 60% is becoming an increasingly popular way of lowering your heating bills, CO2 contribution, and reducing the effects of internal condensation.
These insulated render systems can improve the occupiers living conditions without losing space to the internal rooms of the property.
Angles and anomalies are easily dealt with by our experienced rendering teams, enabling a full insulated render system to be applied to the whole wall.
The picture of the property below shows the side of the old party wall where a subsiding property was demolished. The original render was allowing water penetration and causing excessive heat loss. The new render system solved all the issues and the tenants are delighted with the final result.
What is ThermoPor?
ThermoPor is an innovative new high performance ready-to-mix thermal Insulating plaster/render that is perfect for both internal & external use.
This incredibly versatile product is perfect for both new build and refurbishment projects.
Thermopor is manufactured from 98% naturally occurring inorganic and sustainable materials, including expanded, recycled glass, ThermoPor is non-toxic, harmless and safe.
This innovative product is incredibly light-weight and easy to apply in single applications of up to a standard thickness of 40 mm. (The product can be thicker with multiple applications). It can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces, which will help to reduce overall material and labour costs.

ThermoPor U Values – The green credentials
Achieve U Values below 0.30 W/m2K using Thermopor!
UK Building regulations state that new build properties require a U Value of 0.30 W/m2K and building extensions require a U Value of 0.35 W/m2K. This illustration below demonstrates a practical example of the U Values that can be achieved by using ThermoPor internally and externally. This is just one of the many ways in which ThermoPor can be used to achieve the required building regs U Values (ThermoPor has a thermal conductivity of 0.054W/mK making it an ideal thermal insulation material for IWI ‘Internal Wall Insulation’ and EWI ‘External Wall Insulation’).
This also means that ThermoPor is ideally suited to dealing with the demands of the UK’s carbon emissions reduction targets. For the average homeowner, this simply means lower energy costs! ThermoPor can assist in reducing your energy costs by as much as 45%, and that translates roughly to around £300 p/year plus for an average 3 bedroom semi-detached house.

What is ThermoSap?
ThermoSap is an innovative high-performance ready-to-mix damp proof floor levelling screed which is ideal for both residential and commercial use.
Like it’s sister product Thermopor it is manufactured from 98% naturally occurring inorganic and sustainable materials including expanded recycled glass, ThermoSap is non-toxic, harmless and safe. This sustainable building product provides buildings and homes with thermal insulation and is vapour permeable, sound absorbent, fire resistant and completely damp proof making it ideal for ground floors and middle floors in multi-story apartments or flats, as well as basements, lift shafts & utility roofs. ThermoSap is a multi-characteristic product that is hard wearing and also easy to apply, thus helping to reduce existing material requirements and lower labour costs. In addition to this, its dry-weight of 600 Kg/m3 makes it a very light-weight material which will help to reduce the overall load on foundations. Thermosap can be finished off with a wide variety of flooring materials such as ceramic tiles, laminates, wood and natural stone.
ThermoSap Unique qualities
